Alright, so I actually did make it into the Firefly 10th Anniversary panel, but I was like one of the last fifteen people. The staff kept running in, checking for empty seats, then coming out holding up the number of people they could let in with their fingers. It was so tense, I was actually shaking and getting cold hands I was so close to the front of the line. Finally, me and my group got up to the front, me at the very front, and the woman came out holding up a single finger. I was so relieved that I hadn’t wasted 6 hours of my life in line, but felt bad leaving my group behind. Fortunately, they all eventually got in as well.
The panel itself was amazing, lots of cheering and emotions, lots of crying, namely from Joss and Nathan. I was way in the back area, but I took photos of the projection screens anyway. You can see the actual panel in the third photo and get an idea for how packed the place was. I believe it was 5,000 people. I feel so lucky to have been part of it so narrowly. Definitely one of the most satisfying moments of my life.
This was lovely to read. Anyone else who was there have posts about the experience? Tag them Firefly reunion so we can find them.
